Basketball Game Preview: Gladstone Gladiators vs. Scappoose Indians

The Gladstone Gladiators will head out to face off against the Scappoose Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Monday, Gladstone came up short against Tillamook and fell 63-50. The Gladiators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Scappoose had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They secured a 61-57 W over the Huskies.

Scappoose's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Gladstone, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Gladstone came up short against Scappoose when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 44-40. Can Gladstone avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
