Football Game Preview: Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves vs. Leonard Lancers

The Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves will head out to face off against the Leonard Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oxbridge Academy's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three matches, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Oxbridge Academy is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since March 13, 2024 on Wednesday. They were beaten by Jupiter 27-0.

Meanwhile, Leonard played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Dr. Joaquin Garcia, falling 20-0. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 11th).

Oxbridge Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Leonard, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Oxbridge Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Leonard in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 13-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oxbridge Academy since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
