Softball Recap: Torrey Pines' Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Torrey Pines waltzed into their game on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on Mission Vista with a sharp 13-1 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Falcons considering their two-run performance the match before.

Wilhemina Crouch was incredible, going 2-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Riley Cullivan, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Torrey Pines kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Torrey Pines pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Mission Vista, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
