Baseball Game Preview: Reedley Pirates vs. Exeter Monarchs

For the second straight game, Reedley will face off against Exeter. The Pirates will head out on the road to take on the Monarchs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, Reedley had just enough and edged out Exeter 3-1.

Reedley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braden Ortiz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI Ortiz has posted since back in March.

Reedley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Reedley's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Exeter, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 17-9.
