Softball Recap: Oxford Takes a Loss

Oxford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Portage Central Mustangs, falling 11-1.

Oxford's loss dropped their record down to 7-12-1. As for Portage Central, they moved to 13-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oxford will head out to challenge Lake Orion at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Dragons will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Portage Central, they will head out on the road to square off against Portage Northern at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
