The Lodi Flames will head out to take on the Kimball Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lodi's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Kimball's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Tuesday, Lodi earned a 5-2 victory over Lincoln. The Flames haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Ashlyn Jubrey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Allison Frank, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Lodi lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kimball). They blew past West 16-3 on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Jaguars, who have now won four games in a row.
Like Lodi, Kimball also got a great game from a two-way player: Alexa Contreras. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Contreras was even better at the plate, firing off three home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-3. Those three home runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Saige Dodds and Kaeliana DePerio did most of the damage at the plate: Dodds went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double, while DePerio went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. What's more, DePerio posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Briez Dodds, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Lodi's record is now 12-5. As for Kimball, their record now sits at 13-4.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lodi hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .347. However, it's not like Kimball struggles in that department as they've averaged .334. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
