Softball Recap: Webber's Winning Streak Snapped at Ten Games

It was a good run, but Webber unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oakfield-Alabama Hornets. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Arnie Sturtevant spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits.

Webber's defeat dropped their record down to 14-2. As for Oakfield-Alabama, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Webber didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-11 win against Elba on the 17th. Oakfield-Alabama does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
