Softball Recap: Shenandoah Sets Scoring Season-High Against River

Shenandoah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the River Pilots. On the bright side, the nine- run performance marked the Zeps' highest-scoring contest to date.

Shenandoah's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for River, they moved to 2-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shenandoah will take on Monroe Central at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for River, they will be playing at home against Bridgeport at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Pilots' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
