The biggest upset of the week belonged to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North, who took down 376th ranked Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North, 27-25. Danny De La Rosa in the win.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial moved up to 610 from 696 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 5A Region IV District 31. The Wolverines climbed the ranks as a result of defeating the Raiders 27-25.

San Benito's dynamic duo of Jesse Jimenez and Jacob Ledesma proved tough for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Jimenez threw for 61 yards and Ledesma had 84 yards receiving. Victor Gaitan helped San Benito's passing attack out by catching two balls for 25 yards.

SAUL CUELLAR was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 122 yards as Weslaco East topped the Bears. PETER GONZALES also contributed to the rushing game with 26 yards on the ground.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial's Manny Mancillas and Jaime Borrego have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Mancillas has thrown for 719 yards this season, while Borrego has 22 catches for 438 yards. McAllen Memorial's Trevor Speights leads the league in rushing yards with 1068.

A big matchup in 5A Region IV District 31 this week will be when Gus Cavazos' team takes on the Wildcats. As it stands, the Wolverines are in seventh, while Weslaco East is in first.

Weslaco was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Panthers triumphed over McAllen 19-7.
