            Volleyball Recap: Rio Rancho Rams vs. Volcano Vista Hawks        
        
		
        
        
            
Rio Rancho faced Volcano Vista in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Rams fell just short of the Hawks by a score of  3-2. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
 Rio Rancho wouldn't go down easily and took Volcano Vista into a fifth set  but they suffered a heartbreaking nine-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-20, 23-25, 25-22,  15-6.

 Despite the loss, Rio Rancho still got an impressive performance from   Allyson Tennent, who  had 24  digs and two  assists. With that strong performance,  Tennent is now averaging an impressive 10.2  digs per game.
Rio Rancho's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Volcano Vista,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 13-7.
