Volleyball Recap: Buena Park Finds Home Court Redemption Against Santa Ana

There's no place like home for Buena Park, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Santa Ana Saints 3-2 on Tuesday.

Buena Park had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 17-25, 25-15, 25-21, 15-9.

Kilo Brown paced Buena Park's offense, picking up 12 kills. Brown got some help from Rickowen Mendoza and his 23 assists. Finally, Brown was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Buena Park's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-4. As for Santa Ana, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

Buena Park has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Magnolia on the 12th. Santa Ana has also already played their next game (against Katella), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
