Basketball Game Preview: Spring Creek Spartans vs. Lowry Buckaroos

Spring Creek is 1-9 against Lowry since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Spring Creek Spartans will be playing at home against the Lowry Buckaroos at 6:00 p.m.

Spring Creek saw some tournament action last Saturday. They took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Murrieta Valley. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Spartans came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 41st in Nevada, while the Nighthawks are ranked 314th in California).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lowry, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 59-49 win over Damonte Ranch on Saturday.

Lowry pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Spring Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Spring Creek took a serious blow against Lowry in their previous meeting back in January, falling 57-18. Can Spring Creek avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
