Soccer Recap: Kennedy Snags Eighth Win in Last Nine Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Kennedy had no problem doing just that on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Curie Condors a 1-0 shutout. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Kennedy's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while Curie are ranked 282nd).

Kennedy's one-goal win came courtesy of Diego Serrato, who's now up to ten this season.

Kennedy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-1-2 record this season. As for Curie, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7-2.

Kennedy has already played their next matchup, a 1-1 defeat against Payton College Prep on the 1st. As for Curie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Glenbrook North on the 7th.
