Mountain Heritage had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed past the Bethany Community Wolves to the tune of 53-25 on Tuesday. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Mountain Heritage got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lilly Neill out in front who posted four points in addition to nine boards and seven steals. The dominant performance also gave Neill a new career-high in blocks (three). Cloey Morrow was another key player, putting up 11 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Mountain Heritage smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 25 consecutive contests.

Mountain Heritage has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Bethany Community and nudges their season record down to 16-14.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cougars challenge the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Mountain Heritage has won six straight at home, while Union Academy won 12 straight on the road), something that'll have to change. Bethany Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
