Recap: Letcher County Central Cougars / Lady Cougars vs. Taylor County Cardinals
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 50-13, which was the final score in Letcher County Central's's tilt against Taylor County on Friday. Letcher County Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-7.
Quentin Williams rushed for 48 yards and a touchdown. Keaston Branham was his top target, picking up 72 receiving yards.
This is the second loss in a row for Letcher County Central and nudges their season record down to 6-5. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.5 points per game. As for Taylor County, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
Letcher County Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Taylor County will head out on the road to face off against Corbin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Corbin is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
