Volleyball Recap: Prince Avenue Christian Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Rowen Hudson and Brenna Smith

Prince Avenue Christian was the 2-0 winner over Athens Academy when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolverines fell 2-0 to the Spartans on Monday. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Prince Avenue Christian ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Prince Avenue Christian had strong showings from Brenna Smith, who had four digs and four aces, and Rowen Hudson, who had three digs and two aces.

Athens Academy found their leader in freshman Riley Muir, who had ten digs and three assists. Muir is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Prince Avenue Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-23. As for Athens Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 25-12.

Prince Avenue Christian has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against East Jackson on the 7th. Athens Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
