Baseball Game Preview: Guilderland Flying Dutchmen vs. Colonie Central Wolfpack

For the second straight game, Guilderland will face off against Colonie Central. The Flying Dutchmen will welcome the Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Guilderland heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Saturday. They came up short against Colonie Central, falling 7-0. The Flying Dutchmen have struggled against the Wolfpack recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

For Colonie Central's part, the result came thanks to Tyler Bilka's shutout, as he gave up just five hits. Bilka has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Steven Thomas was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Nate Figueroa was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

The victory (which was Colonie Central's seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Guilderland, their loss dropped their record down to 4-16.
