Baseball Recap: Polk County Takes a Loss

Polk County fell victim to East Rutherford and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Cavaliers, falling 6-0. Considering the last time the Wolverines couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

This is the second loss in a row for Polk County and nudges their season record down to 10-12. As for East Rutherford, they pushed their record up to 21-0 with the victory, which was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Polk County will face off against Rosman at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. East Rutherford will be paying especially close attention to the Wolverines' match: after the Wolverines face off against the Tigers, they'll take on East Rutherford again at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
