Soccer Game Preview: Shakopee vs. Champlin Park

The Shakopee Sabers will head out to face off against the Champlin Park Rebels at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Shakopee has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Champlin Park will arrive with ten straight wins.

Shakopee is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Minnesota's top teams: Rosemount, who was ranked third at the time (Shakopee was ranked 23rd). The Sabers fell just short of the Irish by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Champlin Park was able to grind out a solid victory over Blaine on Thursday, taking the game 3-1. Champlin Park's winning goal came courtesy of Samantha Harbaugh.

Champlin Park's win bumped their record up to 11-0-2. As for Shakopee, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5-1.
