Volleyball Game Preview: Birmingham Patriots vs. Granada Hills Charter Highlanders

Birmingham is 0-9 against Granada Hills Charter since April of 2021 but things could change on Monday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 3:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Birmingham came up short against Chatsworth last Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14, 25-18.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Granada Hills Charter and Taft meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again last Wednesday. The Highlanders fell just short of the Toreadors by a score of 3-2.

Granada Hills Charter actually scored more points across those five sets (103-102), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-22, 15-25, 25-22, 15-9.

Birmingham's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Granada Hills Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 13-11.
