Baseball Recap: Gibson Southern Triumphs

Gibson Southern is still undefeated this season after their contest against Tecumseh on Thursday, but Tecumseh came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Titans came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Braves. The Titans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Braves, too.

Gibson Southern got a great performance from Brogan McClellan as he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Gibson Southern saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Foster, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Those two hits gave Foster a new career-high. Brayden Alldredge also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Gibson Southern pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Tecumseh, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Gibson Southern has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Evansville Central on the 11th. As for Tecumseh, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-0 loss against Evansville Memorial on the 11th.
