Apple Valley has gone 9-1 against Hesperia recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Sun Devils will welcome the Scorpions at 3:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Apple Valley is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 9-1.

Brooke Johnson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run.

Meanwhile, Hesperia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 15-2 to Burroughs.

Hesperia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layla Mata, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

Apple Valley's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7-1. As for Hesperia, their loss dropped their record down to 5-16-1.

Apple Valley took their win against Hesperia in their previous meeting on April 8th by a conclusive 22-3 score. Do the Sun Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Scorpions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
