After having lost a blowout in their previous game against New Richmond, St. Croix Central was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Amery Warriors 4-3. The high-scoring effort was just what St. Croix Central needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

They hit Amery with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Edwin Tene (2), Pedro Hernandez, and Santiago Chavez Cruz.

St. Croix Central now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Amery, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Croix Central will challenge Menomonie at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Amery, they will face off against Baldwin-Woodville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
