The Wakulla War Eagles will square off against the Holmes County Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wakulla is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.

Ava Jones made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaycee Bowers, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Holmes County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Wakulla, their loss dropped their record down to 15-3.

Holmes County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Wakulla hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .395. It's a different story for Holmes County, though, as they've only averaged .258. Will they be able to contain Wakulla's hitters?

Everything went Wakulla's way against Holmes County in their previous matchup back in March, as Wakulla made off with a 13-1 win. Will the War Eagles repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
