Softball Recap: Gorham Rams vs. Noble Knights
Gorham was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Noble on Wednesday. The Rams were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Knights. With that win, the Rams brought their scoring average up to 6.7 runs per game.
Maddy Leeper made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Gorham got a massive performance out of Terra Rioux, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave Rioux a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sawyer VonderHaar, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
Gorham kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Gorham's record now sits at 8-3. As for Noble, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
