The Pilgrim Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the LEAP Academy Lancers. The win was nothing new for the Pioneers as they're now sitting on seven straight dating back to last season.

The Pilgrim Academy's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mason Parmer, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Pilgrim Academy will head out to face off against Calvary Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Calvary Christian Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.75 runs per game on average), something The Pilgrim Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for LEAP Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge King's Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
