Volleyball Game Preview: Kearns Cougars vs. Cyprus Pirates

Kearns is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Cyprus a 13-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Kearns Cougars will be playing at home against the Cyprus Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Wednesday, Kearns didn't have quite enough to beat Hunter and fell 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Kearns sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 24-26, 25-16, 23-25, 16-14.

Meanwhile, Cyprus lost 3-0 to Granger on Wednesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16, 25-14.

Cyprus' loss dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Kearns, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Everything went Kearns' way against Cyprus in their previous matchup back in March, as Kearns made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
