Lubbock was the 49-48 winner over Plainview when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Lubbock Westerners were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 47-46 to the Plainview Bulldogs. The Westerners' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Lubbock's defeat dropped their record down to 15-18. As for Plainview, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-12.

Lubbock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Plainview, they will face off against Wylie at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wylie will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Plainview surely won't give up without a fight.
