Baseball Game Preview: Caldwell Parish Spartans vs. Beekman Charter Tigers

While Caldwell Parish's win against Beekman Charter wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Caldwell Parish sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over Beekman Charter on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

For Beekman Charter's part, Trenton West was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave West a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Courson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Beekman Charter has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. Caldwell Parish's victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
