Damien Dax put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other pitching news, St. John's Northwestern Military Academy got a good showing from Jaxon Lettenberger, who pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Lettenberger a new career-low.
Dax wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Connor McDonald, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.
Meanwhile, East Troy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Wilmot. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by just one run.
St. John's Northwestern Military Academy's record now sits at 7-11. As for East Troy, their record is now 14-9.

The Lancers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for East Troy, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases.
