Soccer Recap: Perry Takes a Loss

If Perry was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mountain View last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Perry Pumas fell just short of the Highland Hawks by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The Pumas were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Perry hit Highland with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nicholas Saveski, Jaymis Brown, and Gunnar Smith.

Perry now has a losing record at 5-6-1. As for Highland, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5-1 record this season.

Perry is taking a road trip to challenge Basha at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Perry is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season. As for Highland, they will host Williams Field at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
