Basketball Recap: Cresset Christian Academy Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

Cresset Christian Academy had won three straight home games and Trinity Jefferson did her part to make it four on Friday. The Cresset Christian Academy Eagles snuck past the Winston Salem Christian Lions with a 44-39 victory thanks in part to Jefferson, who posted 18 points. Her evening made it 11 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Fidelia Myles-Abadoo was another key player, putting up seven points. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Cresset Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. As for Winston Salem Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cresset Christian Academy will venture away from home to take on New Life Camp at 6:30 p.m. on January 31st. Cresset Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.3 points per game this season. As for Winston Salem Christian, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Winston Salem Christian Lions duke it out with the South Guilford HomeSchool Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Guilford HomeSchool's defense has only allowed 25.2 points per game this season, so Winston Salem Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.
