Basketball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for Clovis

A well-balanced attack led Clovis over Silver in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. The Clovis Wildcats strolled past the Silver Fighting Colts with points to spare, taking the game 62-46. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Leading Clovis to victory were Amanda De La Rosa and Brynn Petner. De La Rosa went 7 for 12 on her way to 20 points and six rebounds, while Petner went 7 of 13 on her way to 16 points and three steals. De La Rosa is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Gianna Cordova was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Clovis smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Clovis pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Silver, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Clovis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-46 win against Highland on the 20th. As for Silver, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-23 victory against Miyamura on the 20th.
