Soccer Recap: Parkersburg Comes Up Short

After soaring to five goals the game before, Parkersburg was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They fell 3-1 to the Spring Valley Timberwolves. Parkersburg were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Spring Valley apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Parkersburg now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Spring Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-1-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkersburg will head out to square off against Parkersburg South at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Parkersburg are facing Parkersburg South at the right time seeing as Parkersburg South are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Spring Valley, they will face off against St. Albans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Spring Valley will be up against St. Albans' rather soft defense (which has allowed seven goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
