Softball Recap: Hammondsport Takes a Loss

Hammondsport lost against Naples back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lakers lost 14-3 to the Big Green Machines. The Lakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hammondsport saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aimee Hurd, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Hammondsport now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Naples, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Hammondsport will square off against Hinsdale Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lakers are facing the Bobcats at the right time seeing as the Bobcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Naples, they will face off against Honeoye at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Big Green Machines' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
