Softball Recap: Mesa Comes Up Short

After flying high against Dobson last Thursday, Mesa came back down to earth. The Jackrabbits came up short against the Skyline Coyotes on Tuesday, falling 18-7. The loss continues a trend for the Jackrabbits in their meetings with the Coyotes: they've now lost four in a row.

Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Skyline, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-19 record this season.

Mesa didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 31-16 loss against Westwood on the 23rd. As for Skyline, they will square off against Dobson at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Coyotes are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
