            Football Recap: Ranburne Bulldogs vs. Mt. Zion Eagles        
        
		
        
        
                                                         Ranburne couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took  a  43-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mt. Zion Eagles on Friday. The  contest was a  28-28 toss-up at halftime, but the Bulldogs couldn't quite close it out.
 Despite the loss, Ranburne still got an impressive performance from   Curtis Daniel, who rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns. Another rusher making a difference was  Brody Morgan, who rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown.
 Mt. Zion's win  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-0.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ranburne is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they challenge  Woodland  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Mt. Zion, they will face off against Bethlehem Christian Academy at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
