Baseball Recap: Peetz Comes Up Short

Peetz was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 8-2 to the Prairie Mustangs. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 5, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Rhyder Bayne was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Peetz's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Prairie, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Mustangs beat Peetz by a score of 15-5 later that day.
