Basketball Recap: Eastside Comes Up Short

Eastside and North Marion squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Eastside had to settle for second. They took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Marion Colts. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-40 back in December of 2024.

North Marion's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Coy Sizemore led the charge by going 5 of 10 en route to 18 points. Jerdarrius Jackson was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.

Eastside's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for North Marion, their win bumped their record up to 17-7.

Eastside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Marion, they will challenge Santa Fe on Friday. Santa Fe will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something North Marion surely won't give up without a fight.
