Carle Place and Babylon squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Carle Place had to settle for second. They fell 6-1 to the Panthers. The Frogs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Thomas Schoch was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He tossed seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Carle Place's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Babylon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Carle Place nor Babylon have any future games scheduled.
