Softball Recap: Lodi Blue Devils vs. Portage Warriors        
        
		
            
 Lodi was the  12-3 winner over Portage when they last played one another  back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Lodi Blue Devils took  a  10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Portage Warriors on Friday. Lodi has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 For Portage's part,  Ally Saloun spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned  (and one unearned) runs on nine hits.
 At the plate, Portage got a big performance out of  Sophia Brom, who  went 1-for-4 with a  home run and three  RBI. Brom has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  home run the last three times she's  played.  Addison Fahey was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-3.
 Lodi's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Portage, their victory  ended  a  six-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 4-3.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lodi will  square off against Poynette at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Poynette will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  win, something Lodi surely won't give up without a fight. As for Portage, they will head out on the road to  take on  Mount Horeb at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. One thing working in Portage's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last three games.
