Softball Recap: Sunnyslope Wins Going Away Against St. Mary's

Sunnyslope won the last time they faced St. Mary and things went their way on Monday too. The Vikings blew past the Knights 17-3. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Miriam Boice was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Pi?a, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

The victory made it two in a row for Sunnyslope and bumps their season record up to 13-16. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for St. Mary's, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season.

As of now, neither Sunnyslope nor St. Mary's have any future games scheduled.
