Volleyball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Inglewood Sentinels. If the Apaches were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Sentinels when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The 3-2 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Centennial lost were decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-22, 11-25, 27-25, 17-15.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Inglewood, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-10.

Centennial has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Leuzinger on the 16th. As for Inglewood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Beverly Hills on the 15th.
