Miller put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Santa Maria Cougars 66-47. While the Buccaneers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Miller got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Charles Perry Jr out in front who posted 13 points in addition to eight steals and six assists. Perry Jr is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least four every time he's taken the court this season. Izaiah Gidrey was another key player, going 5-for-12 to rack up 14 points and six rebounds.

Miller smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 13 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Miller's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Santa Maria, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Miller will face off against McAllen Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Santa Maria, they will take on Raymondville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
