Basketball Game Preview: Northridge Knights vs. Bountiful RedHawks

Northridge is 0-6 against Bountiful since January of 2022 but things could change on Wednesday. The Northridge Knights will host the Bountiful RedHawks at 5:15 p.m.

Last Friday, Northridge opened the new year with a less-than-successful 53-42 defeat to Roy. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bountiful beat Viewmont 63-50 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the RedHawks.

Bountiful's win came from a few key players Northridge will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mae Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 boards. Those 25 points gave her a new career-high. Milika Satuala was another key player, going 6 of 14 on her way to 15 points along with five assists and five boards.

Bountiful pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game. As for Northridge, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Northridge might still be hurting after the 56-35 loss they got from Bountiful in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Northridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
