Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Charter Eagles vs. Mount Pleasant Tigers

The Lincoln Charter Eagles will face off against the Mount Pleasant Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lincoln Charter is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by an 82-56 margin over Providence Grove. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Patriots are ranked 402nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Mount Pleasant waltzed into their game on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Red Devils 69-41. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly 28 points.

Mount Pleasant's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.9 points. As for Lincoln Charter, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.
