Basketball Recap: Eastgate Life Academy Piles Up the Points Against Woody Gap

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eastgate Life Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Woody Gap Falcons 64-19. While Eastgate Life Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Eastgate Life Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adrian Mason led the charge by going 8-for-11 en route to 19 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Towery, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 12 boards.

Eastgate Life Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Eastgate Life Academy's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-2.

Looking ahead, Eastgate Life Academy will take on Kings Way Christian School at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Woody Gap will be paying especially close attention to Eastgate Life Academy's game: after Eastgate Life Academy face off against Philadelphia Christian School, they'll take on Woody Gap again at 5:00 p.m. on December 9.
