Softball Recap: Pittston Takes a Loss

Pittston couldn't beat Lake-Lehman on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the first inning. The Patriots fell just short of the Knights by a score of 11-10. While the Patriots didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Knights 5-0 in the first period.

Gabby Gorzkowski made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Jillian Haas, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Pittston now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lake-Lehman, their victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Pittston didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-5 win against Hazleton Area on the 22nd. As for Lake-Lehman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 8-2 victory against Berwick on the 21st.
