The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Thursday Colome takes on Sunshine Bible Academy in the first playoff game of the year. Colome has made scoring difficult for its opponents by holding them to an average of only 12 points per game, a benchmark Sunshine Bible Academy will no doubt hope to clear.
Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Colome beat Avon 26 - 20 last week.
Meanwhile, after flying high the game before (55 points), Sunshine Bible Academy faltered in its previous match. It was crushed by Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] 36 - 6 last week. The team got a solid performance out of sophomore Teigan Clark (he showed off his agility by splitting the defense to the tune of 101 yards); unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win. Clark has been a consistent playmaker for Sunshine Bible Academy as this was the 3rd good game in a row from him.
Sunshine Bible Academy's defeat dropped it to 4-4 while Colome's win brought it to 7-1. We'll see if Colome can add another positive mark to its record or if Sunshine Bible Academy can shake its loss and take the spring out of Colome's step.
