Baseball Game Preview: Marina Vikings vs. Edison Chargers

For the second straight game, Marina will face off against Edison. The Vikings will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Chargers at 3:15 p.m. Marina's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Edison's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Wednesday, Marina didn't have quite enough to beat Edison and fell 2-1.

Marina got a good showing from JUSTIN RACKLEY, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. RACKLEY has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Marina saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was LUKE PRATALI, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. MATTHEW DEAN also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Edison moved to 10-10 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Marina, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.
